As part of the Link Up Youth Hub initiative, a discretionary bursary is available to support young people.
The bursary is there to actively support disadvantaged young people by removing the financial barriers preventing them finding meaningful employment.
Access to a bursary is not competitive and may be automatically awarded dependent on need or circumstances.
The bursary is flexible to meet the specific requirements of an individual in need, for example:
- Providing access to skills training or relevant courses to securing future employment.
- Provision of laptop or other IT equipment to support job searches, applications and/or training.
- Clothing vouchers to cover work and/or interview requirements.
- Driving lessons to improve opportunities with local employers.
